Welcome to my new website! It has been a while in the making, but I am very pleased and excited to share with you the new look for the Jessica Cox Design. After having worked on some amazing projects over the last two years, I wanted to create a place fit to display the finished photographs and talk about the services I provide.
Jessica Cox Design was started in November 2018, and since then it has been a very busy, but incredible two years. I consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to do a job that I absolutely adore. I live and breathe interior design, it is my absolute passion, and my mission is to make it accessible to all.
Something that not everyone may know is that Jessica Cox Design was started because the previous design company I worked at as a Senior Interior Designer was closed unexpectedly – and therefore the team that worked there were all made redundant. The timeframe from the decision to close to when we walked out of the doors was only one week – so not only was it a huge shock, but it did not give any real time for us to prepare for what was next. I had always known that I one day wanted to have my own design studio but did not really see this happening until a bit further down the line. But in hindsight (as usually happens) it was one of the best things to have happened, because I made the decision to try and go on my own – and I have not looked back since!
Very hard work, relationships that were built in my previous design role and huge support from my friends and family (especially my wonderful husband Paul, who not only gives Jessica Cox Design so much of his own time when he is busy running his own Carpentry and Joinery business, but is with me for every delayed delivery panic, every warehouse reorganisation, every heavy van load, and always listens to me go on and on when I get excited about new paint colour or fabric), you have all helped to create this business – and I am forever grateful.
This new website will be not only be to advertise my business and showcase my work, but also to introduce a space for me to talk about design and to share my thoughts and document my own house renovations through this new Jessica Cox Design blog. Anyone that knows me knows that I can talk forever about anything to do with interiors – so it will save a lots of ears and gives me an outlet to write it down and share it all!
Working with fellow creatives is very important to me, and I am lucky enough to have met some amazing people along the way so far who have not only helped me in the Jessica Cox Design journey but have also become good friends. The new website was put together by Daniel Tiller at My Name is Dan (www.mynameisdan.co.uk), includes photography from the brilliant Richard Kiely (www.richardkiely.com), and shows testimonials and editorials from some of the the businesses that I have had the amazing opportunity to work with.
I have some exciting plans for Jessica Cox Design and some projects that I have been working behind the scenes on, so am now very much looking foward to the future and sharing it all with you.
Thank you for taking the time to have a look and as always, for your continued support and I hope you stay tuned for all that is coming up next for Jessica Cox Design…
